Haley Jones, Ph.D., Director of Marketing & Communications
Dr. Haley Jones holds the position of Director of Marketing and Communications and Public Information Officer. As a 2014 graduate of Mitchell Community College, Dr. Jones shares her passion for Mitchell with others through methods of strategic storytelling, targeted digital campaigns, and relationship-building. In between her Mitchell responsibilities, Dr. Jones is actively conducting research in Technical and Professional Communication and Digital Humanities scholarship using on-the-job praxis.
Dr. Jones received her BA in English and MA in English from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (2016, 2019) and her Doctorate of Philosophy from the University of South Florida in August of 2024.

Nicole Webb, Graphic Designer
Nicole serves as the Graphic Designer for the Marketing & Communications Department. She holds an associate's degree in Photographic Technology and Advertising & Graphic Design from Catawba Valley Community College, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Liberty University. She plans to further her education by pursuing both a Master of Arts and a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design.
A proud Marine Corps veteran, Nicole shares this distinction with her husband. They reside in Taylorsville with their three children. Beyond her professional expertise in graphic design and photography, she enjoys reading, crafting, exercising, outdoor activities, diamond art, puzzles, video games, and movies.

Michaela Hoke, Digital Media Event Technician
Michaela Hoke is an artist and writer born and raised in Statesville. NC. After graduating from UNC Charlotte with a degree in Art and English, she spent time working in visual arts, advertising, and marketing. She now lives in Statesville with her husband and four cats, and in her spare time enjoys drawing, reading, and painting.
