Let the Tutoring Center help you succeed with knowledgeable tutors and writing coaches!

Get help in any subject, including writing help at any stage of the writing process.
Tutoring session options:

  • Face-to-face or virtual
  • One-on-one or small group
  • Appointments or drop-ins

All tutoring sessions are free of charge to currently enrolled Mitchell Community College students.

Online Tutoring

To access online tutoring:

  1. Login to Open LMS
  2. Click on Tutor.com link within the Tutoring and Library Resources section in any of your Mitchell courses.
  3. Select a subject or course to get started!

Online Tutoring is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  1. Download the following application Application for Tutoring  to your computer, fill it out, “save” file and attach to email tjordan@mitchellcc.edu
  2. Students need a referral from their instructor to finalize the application and begin the tutoring process. To retrieve this referral, please ask your instructor to send an email to tjordan@mitchellcc.edu with your name, course title, and a description of what you need help with.

The Tutoring Center is accepting applications for tutor positions!

Tutoring Center is hiring tutor positions at the Statesville and Mooresville locations. Applicants for this position must meet the following qualifications: minimum overall GPA of 3.0 (all institutions attended); minimum GPA of 3.0 in the subject(s) in which you feel qualified to be a tutor; minimum of 12 college-level credits in core academic subjects including English 111.

Job offers are contingent upon the College's verification of references, a background check, or other applicable reports or inquiries.
