The Computer Engineering Technology program is designed to prepare graduates for the rapidly changing and integrated residential, commercial, and industrial automation world, emphasizing connectivity. The CET program bridges the gap between Electronics Engineering Technology and Information Technology to give graduates the knowledge and skills to operate in a career field focused on embedded and edge computing, based on the Internet of Things (IoT) market.
Local employers utilize the skills in home automation, interactive digital customer kiosks, smart appliances, and Industry 4.0 standards. Potential students that plan to continue to a four-year university for a B.S. in CET should speak with the Program Coordinator before beginning this program of study.
