Mark Flake is a painter, sculptor, author, and filmmaker originally from Memphis, Tennessee.  He holds an MFA from East Tennessee State University and has lived and worked in Tennessee, Rhode Island, Georgia, Mississippi, Kansas, Wyoming, and North and South Carolina. His surreal and expressionistic oil paintings have been exhibited across the United States, and his graphic art has appeared on album and compact disc covers throughout the States and in Europe and Australia. Mostly recently, his film “Rancho Mysterio” was a selection of the Eastern Carolina Film Festival, and his sculpture “Venus Fly Trap” was selected as one of 11 sculptures to represent the state of North Carolina at the Hanes Corporation’s Charlotte location.
