The Mitchell Community College Bookstore buys back textbook(s) based on supply and demand.

Buy Back Information:

The Mitchell Community College Bookstore will buy book(s) back for the store as well as for the wholesaler:

The Mitchell Community College Bookstore buys back books for retail and wholesale at the end of the Fall and Spring Semesters.

Retail Buy Backs:  When stock is needed for the Bookstore for the upcoming semester, the store pays a higher rate for these titles.

Wholesale:  If the stock is NOT needed in the Bookstore for the upcoming semester, the title may be a wholesale title and would be sent to a wholesale company.

Virtual Online Buybacks: In order to sell textbooks at other times during the year, you will need to click on the link at the bottom of this page:

Wholesale Buy Backs are when the supply and demand is needed on the wholesale title.  A value is deemed by the wholesale company not by the bookstore. This value is completely controlled by the wholesale company.

All textbooks must be in good, resalable condition!  Textbooks with excess writing, highlighting, broken spines, missing pages, water damage, lab manuals, and workbooks cannot be purchased.  CD’s, disk, and unused access codes should be with the textbooks to increase the value.

Book ISBN numbers are to be entered in the search window after clicking the link below.  The wholesale buy back value will be displayed, if applicable, or if the textbook is needed.  Otherwise, the textbook(s) may display as “No current buy back price” which means the textbook(s) has no wholesale value and is not needed at this time.  MBS has a $10.00 minimum requirement for processing a transaction.  Qualification depends on the condition of each individual textbook(s) and the current market demand for the book title which changes daily.
