Truck Driver Training could open up a range of opportunities in trucking and logistics. Be part of one of the fastest growing industries in our area. This program prepares you for the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) final test. This test is administered at the end of the course. Mitchell's truck driver training program is offered through a partnership with Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute in Hudson.



Cost: $1,882 + associated expenses Expense breakdown       


To be admitted, you MUST ATTEND the June 20 Session and the following:

  1. Be at least 18 years old. (Graduates under 21 can drive only within North Carolina.)
  2. Have a valid N.C. driver's license with no limiting restrictions.
  3. Be able to read and speak English well enough to take instructions from highway signs, to converse with officials and complete the required reports.
  4. Present a high school diploma, college, or GED transcript or take and pass a prerequisite reading placement test with a minimum eighth grade reading level or better to register. Bring an official copy of your placement test results with you to register.
