The inaugural trip, "Costa Rica: Coast to Coast," in May 2011 included visits to both the Pacific and Atlantic Coasts, with diverse cultural and ecological experiences such as volcanoes, hot springs, rainforests, a banana plantation, cities, and villages. Students learned much about life in a foreign country while discovering much about themselves. In addition, they made friends, helped local school children, and had fun while on an exciting adventure.
