Placement Testing

In order to provide the greatest opportunity for student success, students are required to have their college skills assessed in one or more of the following areas: reading, sentence skills, arithmetic, algebra, and keyboarding. The specific assessments given are determined by the program of study being pursued and whether or not the student is transferring into MCC other college level course work. MCC uses Computerized Placement Tests (CPTs) for its assessment. Appointments to take the CPTs are available.

Testing Dates/Times

Monday-Thursday: 9am, 1:30pm, and 5:30pm
Friday: 9am, and 1:30pm

Please make your testing appointment one to two weeks in advance. The above times are subject to change and testing opportunities during registration periods are limited. Scheduling well in advance also gives you time to prepare! Be sure to visit the web sites below to get ready for the ACCUPLACER.
