Firefighter Basic Training

This program is designed to give the student the essential skills required for employment as an entry-level fire fighter. Upon successful completion of the 564 hour program the student will have attained the following certifications; Firefighter I and II, and Driver Operator EVD.

Additional Information

  • Class begins January 28, 2013. Class meets from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and some Saturdays. Class takes approximately three months to complete and will end May 2013.
  • Admission requirements for this program are:
    • Students must be 18 years of age prior to the first day of class
    • Students must have a high school diploma or GED
    • Students must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Students must complete an admissions application a minimum of two weeks prior to the start of class. Class size is limited to the first twenty students for each class.
