The Nusing Assistant I class includes 51 hours of classroom study, 101 hours of lab practice and 40 hours of clinical experience. Students are certified in American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers during the course. Students learn 69 skills required to function as a CNA I.
Nursing Assistant II students learn and practice eleven advanced nursing skills approved by the NC Board of Nursing. The NA II works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide optimal patient care.
