Investment strategist Larry Adam to speak at Mitchell Community College

Larry Adam, Managing Director and Chief Investment Strategist for Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management will present Economic Outlook: Ten Themes for 2012 at Mitchell Community College on Monday, Jan. 9 at 3 p.m. Business leaders and entrepreneurs are invited to attend.

Adam is a member of the U.S. Investment Committee, the management team responsible for investment strategy and asset allocation for U.S. discretionary client portfolios and the Global Investment Committee that formalizes and establishes the global house view.

Prior to being named the Chief Investment Strategist, Adam was the head of the Asset Allocation and Quantitative Analysis Group, the group responsible for analyzing and implementing client-specific asset allocation strategies. He is widely published and has been quoted in various mainstream and financial publications including The Wall Street Journal, Barron's and International Herald Tribune. He frequently appears on television and has been featured on CNBC and Bloomberg TV. Mr. Adam joined Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown in 1992.

Adam received a B.B.A. with a concentration in finance and a master’s degree in business with a concentration in finance from Loyola College. He has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst, the Certified Investment Management Analyst and the Certified Financial Planner designations.

The event, which serves as the "kick off" for the 2012 Business Plan Competition, will be held in the Continuing Education Center Auditorium at 701 W. Front Street in Statesville. The 2012 Business Plan Competition is sponsored by Centralina Workforce Development Board, Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce, Iredell County, Mitchell Community College, Mooresville-South Iredell Chamber of Commerce, Mountain State University, the Small Business Center, and the Small Business and Technology Development Center.
