The newspaper printed the attached headline: "Eason to Take a Risk on Piano Today." This statement could have many meanings (some of them pretty funny) but I think the one that I intended is that at age 71 it is a little late for me to begin my performing career! The article also quotes me as saying this is my debut and my farewell recital all in one. I do like the idea of being ready to take risks, and believe me this is a risk for me to play before an audience filled with colleagues and familiar faces. FAFSA Day to support students seeking financial aid for college

Mitchell Community College financial aid specialists will be available for FAFSA Day, Saturday, Feb. 18 from 9 a.m. until noon in the Huskins Library. The Mitchell Community College Board of Trustees has announced the appointment of Dr. James T. “Tim” Brewer as its next president. After spending nearly four years of a 35-year sentence for armed robbery, Brian Long decided it was time to turn his life around and leave the gang lifestyle. He wanted to find ways to help prevent teens from repeating his mistakes.
