What are Huskins Courses?
Huskins courses are actual college courses that are scheduled and arranged
specifically for high school juniors and seniors. The courses are scheduled
during the high school students’ normal school day. Huskins courses
are scheduled for first block or fourth block at the MCC Mooresville Center,
Statesville campus, and at North Iredell High School.
What are the requirements?
Students must be a junior or senior enrolled in high school at Iredell-Statesville
Schools or Mooresville Graded Schools. Students must take the college’s
placement tests and meet the minimum placement test scores. Testing is scheduled
through your high school contact (listed below).

How much does it cost?
Tuition is FREE! Students are responsible for student fees (approximately
$7.50 per class) and purchasing their own textbooks.
Is transportation provided to and from classes?
No; students are responsible for transportation, but many students carpool
to and from MCC.
When do Huskins classes start and end?
All Huskins classes follow the official MCC calendar which means that fall
classes usually start around August 12 or 13, about a week and a half before
the high schools start class and usually end by the first week of December.
Spring classes start around January 7 or 8 and usually end by the first week
of May.
