Full-Time Positions    Part-Time Positions

Mitchell is centrally located in the historic district of downtown Statesville, North Carolina. The college is accessible from I-77 and I-40. To find out more about the College, go to the About MCC section.

Full-time Employment Process
To apply for either a full- or part-time position, a separate application must be submitted for each position.

Submit the following with your application:

  • A current resume
  • Letter expressing your interest in the position for which you are applying
  • Transcripts MUST be included when a degree is required. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable. (Please do not have official transcripts forwarded to MCC under separate cover.)
  • Three (3) business-related references can be listed on the application or a separate page listing your reference contact information. You may provide letters of reference dated within the last two years.

To be considered for a full-time position, you must meet the minimum requirements provided in the posting. An official MCC application (PDF / MS Word) must be completed and submitted to Human Resources. Faculty and professional positions require the "Professional Statement" be submitted with the application. Resumes will not be accepted as an application for employment. Note: An unsigned application is considered incomplete and the applicant will not be considered for employment.

Prior to employment, a criminal background check will be conducted on all new prospective full-time employees.


Part-time Employment Process
To be considered for a part-time position, an official MCC application must be completed and submitted to Human Resources. Include a current resume and transcripts (if required) with your application.

Effective January 1, 2007, Mitchell Community College began participating in the Basic Pilot Employment Eligibility Verification Program.
