Career and College Promise (CCP)

Career and College Promise LogoThe Career and College Promise legislation was initiated by Governor Beverly Perdue as a way to provide structured pathways for dual enrolled high school students. The legislation directs the State Board of Education and the North Carolina Community College System to establish structured opportunities for qualified high school students to dually enroll in community college courses that provide pathways that lead to a certificate, diploma, or degree as well as provide entry-level job skills. Academic credits earned through Career and College Promise shall enable students who continue into postsecondary education after graduating from high school to complete a postsecondary credential in less time than would normally be required.
