Mitchell Community College announces the formation of the Douglas O. Eason Lecture Series, established by employees on the occasion of his retirement, to honor Dr. Douglas O. Eason, president of the College from 1990 to 2012.
The Douglas O. Eason Lecture Series will provide financial support to enable the College to invite eminent scholars and individuals who have made significant contributions in their fields to speak at the College, thereby illuminating the learning of our students, enriching the work of the faculty and staff, and stimulating discourse with the local community.
The lecture series will provide another avenue for fulfillment of the College's mission to serve the community while also enhancing teaching and learning in context by connecting topics with curricular objectives.
