AOL Users

Students using AOL as their Internet Service Provider can use the following directions to correct problems they are having accessing our website, www.mitchellcc.edu, and Blackboard, http://blackboard.mitchellcc.edu.

  • To correct the problem:

  • Close all windows and applications

  • Right click on the AOL icon located on the Task Bar (bottom right corner of screen)

  • Click on System Information

  • Click Utilities

  • Clear browser cache. Be sure cache size is reset O kb.

  • Click Utilities

  • Click AOL Adapter

  • Uninstall the adapter

  • Close

The next time you login to AOL, the Adapter will re-install. This should not create a problem.

Students may call AOL at 1-800-509-7538. Tech support will walk them you the steps for the above procedure. If you have performed the steps above and are still experiencing problems, please call the this number. The technician will ask for a case number. The case number for AOL is 155175763.

Wal-Mart Connect Users

Students using Wal-Mart as their Internet Service Provider can use the following directions to correct problems they are having accessing our website, www.mitchellcc.edu, and Blackboard, http://blackboard.mitchellcc.edu.

This is a two-step process: delete temporary files and uninstall the Wal-Mart Connect adapter.

Step One—Delete files:

  • Close all windows and applications

  • Open Internet Explorer

  • Click Tools

  • Click Internet Options

  • Choose the option Delete Files

  • Place a check in the Delete all offline content and click OK

  • Close Internet Explorer

Step Two—Uninstall Wal-Mart adapter:

  • Right click on the Wal-Mart icon located on the Task Bar (bottom right corner of screen)

  • Click on System Information

  • Click Utilities

  • Uninstall the adapter

  • Close

The next time you login to Wal-Mart, the Adapter will re-install. This should not create a problem.
