Mitchell Community College provides students with the
opportunity to begin or continue
their education using other than traditional instructional methodologies. Distance
learning takes place when the
student and the instructor are in different settings, and the distance between
the two is bridged using some form
of technology. Students and instructors may be connected via the Internet,
videos, or televised programs.
Although not a new concept, distance learning is becoming a more popular alternative
to the traditional classroom
setting. Distance learning is an appropriate alternative for individuals who
are self-motivated but cannot attend a
traditional classroom setting because of time constraints or time conflicts
brought on by employment, family,
social, civic or community commitments. Individuals who have satisfied course
prerequisites may participate in
distance learning at Mitchell.
Please
check the distance
education (Internet) section of the schedule for
classes offered online and hybrid classes.
If you are having problems logging in to your class or getting in touch with
your instructor send an email to the Distance
Learning Coordinator.
