Fall Convocation was held Thursday, August 30, 2007, in Shearer Hall. The featured speaker was President Douglas Eason. William S. Powell was presented with the 2007 Distinguished Alumnus Award. Joe Troutman, MCC board member and treasurer of the Alumni Association, presented the R.D. Grier Excellence in Education Awards to Bonnie McCurry (support staff), Sherry Clarke (professional staff), Mariglee Liebhaber (adjunct faculty) and Linda Wiersch (faculty). The annual club fair was held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a complimentary lunch was provided for all faculty, staff and students by the SGA.
