Student Jazz Band Concert
Directed by instructor Beverly Brown, the MCC Student Jazz Band performed a concert at the Gallery Crawl in downtown Mooresville on Friday, November 3. Sponsored by the Mooresville Artist Guild, the event was held at the Historic Depot and featured two exhibits by the Lake Norman Photography Club and the Iredell Photography Club. The band performed throughout the evening for an admiring audience. Members of the band include Bridget Gibbs-clarinet, Loraine Watt-alto saxophone, Jonathan Gross-trumpet, Chris Dickey-trumpet, Jonathan Frieze-guitar, David Roche-drum set, and Blake Brooker-auxiliary percussion. The jazz band will offer classes again in the spring semester on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:00-12:50, and new members are welcome! —Submitted by Roxanne Newton (11.08.06)
