What a wonderful weekend we had on campus this past Friday and Saturday for our Alumni Day festivities! The Development Office would like to thank all of the employees that volunteered and pitched in to help make this year’s events such a great success. A recurring theme at each of this weekend’s gatherings was a celebration and acknowledgement of the special opportunity that our College has provided for so many to improve their lives through education. Highlights of the weekend included:

• Bill Moose, Class of 1968, was recognized with the 2012 Distinguished Alumni Award

• More than 125 individuals participated in our alumni luncheon

• The Class of 1962 celebrated their 50^th reunion and were represented in great numbers.  Class members presented Dr. Brewer with a gift to the MCCEE.

•  Our music students performed selections from the HMS Pinafore for alumni in attendance.  The HMS  Pinafore was performed 50 years ago this month in Shearer Hall by members of the class of 1962.

• The MCC Alumni Association awarded a scholarship gift for the alumni scholarship in the amount of $1,000 and presented a check to the Eason Lecture Series in the amount of $500.

•  The Nursing Department and the Nursing Alumni celebrated 30 years of the ADN program at Mitchell.

• Employees, alumni, and friends gathered at the Courtyard on Friday evening for a reception.
