Advisement & Registration

Mitchell Community College is committed to the success of its students. A comprehensive advisement system has been initiated to ensure student success. Students are registered for classes at MCC through their advisor. Students are assigned faculty advisors after completing the College Placement Tests. Advisors will assist students in planning a course of study and work toward completion of goals. If you need to speak with a Counselor please call 704.878.3200. A Counselor will also be available at the Mooresville Center. To speak with a Mooresville Counselor, please call 704.663.1923.

Before meeting with a your Advisor, review the course schedule and think about your work schedule and family responsibilities to determine the days and times that would be suitable for you. Next, determine the courses that were identified when you took the college placement test. Then refer to the college catalog for your required curriculum courses. Have a preliminary course schedule completed. This will help the Advisor in assisting you plan a class schedule.
